ntp peer <peer> version

Changes the NTP version running on an NTP peer to 3 or 4. The default version is 4.

Syntax

ntp peer <peer> version <version>

Parameters

peer

The hostname or the IPv4 or IPv6 address of the NTP peer.

version

The NTP version, which can be 3 or 4.

Example

The following example changes the NTP version on NTP peer 10.2.2.2 to 3.

hostname (config) # ntp peer 10.2.2.2 version 3
hostname (config) # show ntp configured
NTP enabled: yes
NTP Authentication enabled: yes
NTP peer 10.2.2.2
  Enabled: yes
  NTP version: 3
  Key: none
...
