This Hotfix is applicable only to Trellix ePO - SaaS customers. For more details, see https://thrive.trellix.com/s/article/000013898.

Note: This hotfix does not support the automatic upgrade of a pre-release software version. To upgrade to a production release of the software, you must first uninstall any pre-release versions.

Manual deployment

For deploying Trellix EDR Client package, follow the below steps.

1. Login to Trellix ePO – SaaS.

2. Navigate to Menu → Software → Product Deployment, then click the link under Advanced Options.

3. In the Advanced Product Deployment page, click New Deployment.

4. Provide a name for Product deployment.

5. Select the branch based on Trellix EDR version you wish to deploy.

   Note: If you are a Trellix EDR Client for Windows 4.2.x user or Trellix EDR Client for macOS 4.2.x user, select current branch. If you are a Trellix EDR Client for Windows 4.1.x user, select any of these three branches — 2023-11, 2023-10 and 2023-09.

6. Select the required software package - Trellix EDR Client for Windows 4.2.1.4553, 4.1.1.2925 or Trellix EDR Client for macOS 4.2.0.3561.

7. Click Install.

8. Click Select Individual Systems or Select by Tag or Group and choose the system or group for which you want to apply the product deployment.

9. Under Auto Update, select Automatically deploy latest version of the products.

10. Select when to run the deployment task:

    • Run Immediately (to immediately start product deployment)

    • Once (to run the deployment task once; specify the start date, start time, and time zone.)

    • Daily (to run the deployment task daily; specify the start date, start time, and time zone.)

11. Click Save.
