Restore settings

Prev Next

If you encounter a system failure, you can restore Trellix ESM from a previous settings backup.

Backups are only compatible with the current version of the device. You can't restore from a backup of a previous version on an updated Trellix ESM device.

  1. From the Trellix ESM dashboard, click menu.png and select System Properties.

  2. Click ESM ManagementMaintenanceRestore Backup.

  3. Select the type of restore you need to perform.

  4. Select the file you want to restore or enter the information for the remote location, then click OK.

Restoring a backup can take a long time, based on the size of the backup file. Trellix ESM is offline until the system completes the full restore. During this time, Trellix ESM tries to reconnect every 5 minutes.

After the restore process has completed, navigate to System PropertiesClustering page and click Write Cluster Settings to send the restored settings configuration data to the devices in the cluster. For information about managing the cluster data, see Trellix Enterprise Security Manager Installation Guide.
