Selecting the correct Linux agent installation file

The Linux agent .rpm and .deb file nomenclature defines the agent binary, the agent software version, the supported Linux OS version, and the Linux OS-bit architecture. For example, the following agent software installation .rpm file installs agent software version 29.x.x on supported Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.x versions with a 32 or 64- bit architecture.

You must run the .rpm or .deb file that is compatible with your Linux environment. For example, If your Linux endpoints are running RHEL version 7.2, run .rpm file xagt-[xAgent version]-1.el7.x86_64.rpm.
