Allow or block access to sites based on the safety rating.
By default, the software allows access to green-rated sites. You can configure the action for sites rated as Red, Yellow, Unrated, or Unverified.
The default settings for these categories are:
Rating color | Configuration |

Red | Block access — Prevents users from accessing the site and displays a message that the site is blocked. |
Yellow | Warn — Displays a warning to notify users of potential dangers associated with the site. User can decide whether to access the site by selecting Continue or Cancel. |
Unrated | Allow access — Permits users to access the site. |
Unverified | Allow access — Permits users to access the site. |
Note
Web Control does not scan files that are downloaded from allowed sites. However, if you installed the Threat Prevention module and enabled on-access scanning, files are scanned for threats.
