The table below describes the supported edit methods for configuring xAgent policies on your host endpoints.
Note
Endpoint Security (HX) version 4.5 deprecates CLI commands used to set agent configuration.
Supported Edit Methods | Description |
|---|---|
Web UI | Use the Endpoint Security (HX) xAgent Web UI Policies page to configure and manage your xAgent policies, including the Agent Default Policy, custom policies, and migrated policies, for specific host sets. |
API | Use the API to manage your xAgent Default Policy and your custom policies. You can also modify and delete a migrated exception policy for specific host sets using the API. |
API Custom Configuration Channel | Use an API custom configuration channel to configure the xAgent settings and apply the changes to the agent configuration file for one or more host sets. See Using API Custom Configuration Channels for more information. ImportantxAgent settings applied using an API custom configuration channel replace all existing agent settings. You must provide values for all of the xAgent settings when using an API custom configuration channel to modify the xAgent settings for one or more host sets to prevent a disruption in your xAgent services. |
