Upgrade support

This release supports upgrading from the following Application Control client versions:

  • 6.4.22–6.4.24

  • 6.5.0–6.5.2

  • 6.6.0–6.6.7

New or changed

IPv6 supportTACC 6.6.8 now supports full IPv6 compatibility, enabling secure communication between agents and servers, accurate policy enforcement for both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic, and enhanced visibility in network logs and the user interface. Additionally, trusted paths can now be defined using IPv6 shared locations, and GTI integration is fully supported in IPv6-based networks.

If your system switches between IPv4 and IPv6 network stacks, the GTI communication channel can be interrupted. If the system is not restarted after the network switch, you must manually restart the scsrvc service to restore GTI connectivity.

Note

The scsrvc service can be restarted only when the product is in Update, Observe, Disable, or Disable* mode.
