New features and changes
Trellix TIE - SaaS integration with Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX) — This release supports the integration with the IVX On-premises so that you can configure TIE to submit files with unknown reputations for sandboxing analysis.
Note
The file can’t be submitted to all sandboxing services (Intelligent Sandbox, IVX On-prem and IVX Cloud) at the same time.
For details about sandboxing analysis workflow, see Submitting files samples to IVX.
For details about configuring files for sandboxing, see Setting IVX for Sandboxing.
File Types filtering for IVX On-prem and IVX Cloud submissions — TIE introduces a new option under the Sandboxing tab where the File Types filter allows you to specify which file types will be sent to the IVX On-prem or IVX Cloud. This helps to prevent unnecessary file submissions for sandboxing. You can add or remove file types from the list that will be sent to sandboxing.
Track Sandbox submission failures — You can view the failed file submissions for the sandbox on Trellix ePO - SaaS instead of checking for the failed submissions in the tieserver.log on the TIE server. If the sandboxing fails for Intelligent Sandbox, IVX or IVX Cloud, you can track the Sandbox failures on the TIE Reputation page.
Machine name visibility on IVX Cloud — This feature requires ENS Update 17 or later to function as excepted. When a file sample runs on a client machine, users with IVX Cloud access can log in to the dashboard and view details about which machine the file sample came from.
