Respond to error messages during the upgrade process.

If you updated a Trellix device before upgrading Trellix ESM or the Trellix ESM is in the middle of upgrading, this message might appear: The device must be upgraded before the operation can be performed. Verify that Trellix ESM has the correct version.

  1. On the Trellix ESM console, select the device in the system navigation tree, then click the Properties icon GUID-F191D568-8B93-4D2C-9BFC-F1342FC407BD-low.png.

  2. Click Connection, then click Status.

  3. Retry the operation that resulted in the message.
