Uninstall the software from managed systems using commands

You can uninstall Adaptive Threat Protection module from the managed Mac using the command line.

Before you begin

You must have administrator rights to uninstall the software.

Task

  1. Open a Terminal window.

  2. Type the following command, then press return.

    sudo /usr/local/McAfee/uninstall ATP

    Note

    The uninstallation command is case sensitive.

  3. Type the administrator password when prompted.

    Note

    When Uninstallation is enabled in Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) Common policy, uninstalling the software using the command line prompts you to type the password set by your Trellix ePO - On-prem server administrator.
