Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) 35.31.44 and future releases no longer support upgrades from Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) software versions earlier than 34.28.31.
You have two options for upgrading to version 35.31.44 from a version that is earlier than 34.28.31:
Uninstall the previous version and install Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) software version 35.31.44 as a fresh install.
Note
This is recommended for upgrading from versions that are earlier than Endpoint Security Agent (HX) 30. The agent will generate a new Endpoint Security Agent (HX) ID, which must be reapplied to any applicable host sets.
Important
This action will result in a loss of the events database and any content being stored for MalwareGuard. It is recommended that you back up the database and restore it after the upgrade.
Upgrade from the previous version to Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) 34.28.31 first, then upgrade to version 35.31.44.
