Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) 36.30.17 and future releases no longer support upgrades from Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) software versions earlier than 34.
You have two options for upgrading directly to version 36.30.17 from a version that is earlier than 34:
Option 1:
Uninstall the previous version and install Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) software version 36.30.17 as a fresh install.
Note
This is recommended for upgrading from versions that are earlier than Endpoint Security Agent (HX) 30. The agent will generate a new Endpoint Security Agent (HX) ID, which must be reapplied to any applicable host sets.
Option 2:
Upgrade from the previous version to the latest available version of Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) 34 first, then upgrade to version 36.30.17.
Note
It is recommended to use the latest available version of Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) software version 34 when upgrading to this intermediate version. Please refer to the associated Release Notes and Endpoint Security Agent Administration Guide for guidance on upgrading to that version.
Important
After installing Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) 34, you may need to restart your Windows endpoints.
