When you upgrade your ePO - On-prem server software, upgrade any Agent Handlers installed throughout your environment. Agent Handlers must be upgraded separately.

Agent Handlers installed with previous versions of ePO - On-prem software are not compatible with this new version, and are not upgraded automatically.

  1. Copy the Agent Handler folder, included in the ePO - On-prem software installation package, to the system.

  2. Right-click Setup.exe and select Run as Administrator to start the ePO - On-prem Agent Handler InstallShield Wizard.

  3. Click Next to begin the upgrade process.

  4. Accept the license agreement, then click OK.

  5. Accept the default destination or select a different destination, then click Next.

  6. Configure the ePO - On-prem server information.

    1. Type the system name of the ePO - On-prem server with which the Agent Handler must communicate.

    2. Specify which port to use for Agent Handler-to-server communication. The default port is 8443.

    3. Type the name and password of a user with ePO - On-prem Global Administrator rights, and click Next.

    4. Provide the password for access to the ePO - On-prem SQL database, then click Next. The Database Information page is populated with these ePO - On-prem server settings.

    • Database Server with instance name, as in DB-SERVER\SERVERNAME.

    • Authentication type.

    • Domain name where the database server is hosted if using Windows authentication.

    • User name and Password.
