View the status of Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers on Trellix ESM.

Add NTP servers to Trellix ESM or devices.

Note

It can take up to 10 minutes for changes to appear.

  1. Select System PropertiesSystem Information, then click System Clock.

  2. Click Status.

    • NTP Server column:

      • * — Server currently being referenced

      • + — Selected, included in the final set

      • # — Selected, distance exceeds maximum value

      • o — Selected, Pulse Per Second (PPS) used

      • x — Source false ticker

      • . — Selected from end of candidate list

      • - — Discarded by cluster algorithm

    • Reachable column:

      • Yes — server can be reached

      • No — server cannot be reached

    • Authentication column:

      • none — no credentials exist

      • bad — incorrect credentials

      • yes — correct credentials

    • Condition column (Condition corresponds to the mark in the NTP Server column):

      • candidate — possible choice

      • sys.peer — current choice

      • reject — cannot be reached. If all servers are selected reject, it's possible that the NTP configuration is restarting.
