The What’s Happening panel counts alerts for attacks detected on the monitored network. By default, the panel counts hosts for unacknowledged alerts triggered over the past 24 hours. Controls along the bottom of the panel specify the time frame for which the alert are counted (the past day, week, or month) and whether the data includes or excludes acknowledged alerts.

The attack category names link to filtered lists of malware alerts and alerts.

SmartVision Edition appliances and SmartVision-enabled Network Security sensors and integrated appliances analyze Web traffic transferred over SMB and SMB 2 protocols only.
On a SmartVision edition appliance
On a SmartVision Edition appliance dashboard, the What’s Happening panel counts the Malware Guard alerts, Malware Object download alerts, and alerts.

Malware Guard alerts are the subset of Malware Object alerts detected using predictive statistics provided by the Network Security appliance Malware Guard engine. For more information, see “Monitoring Alerts and Hosts” in the Network Security User Guide.
