Adding the API key to the virtual File Protect appliance using the Web UI

To add the API Key to the virtual File Protect appliance using the Web UI:

  1. Log in to the Web UI of your virtual File Protect appliance.

  2. Click Settings > Submission Engine.

  3. Toggle the MVX/DOD button to enable DOD and click Yes to confirm.

    The message "Backend engine successfully changed" is displayed.

  4. Click ADD KEY in the Key Configuration menu.

  5. In the Add Key window, paste the API authentication key (that you generated in the DOD portal), add a description for the key, and then click Add.

  6. (Optional) Similarly, you can add multiple IVX Cloud API authentication keys to your virtual File Protect appliance. Only one key can be configured as Active at any given time and other keys will be on standby. Files submitted to IVX Cloud are accounted to the quota corresponding to the active key.

    Adding multiple DOD API authentication keys provides flexibility to submit files to IVX Cloud accounting for the quota corresponding to any one of those API keys that is active at any given time. To know more about API key management, see the API Key Management section.

Note

You can add the same API authentication key to multiple virtual File Protect appliances. In this case, the files from all the virtual File Protect appliances are accounted to the quota corresponding to the API key.
