Configuring HTTP proxy server settings

Prev Next

Configuring an HTTP proxy server on your appliance involves the following tasks:

  • Configuring the hostname or IP address of the proxy server.

  • Configuring the port for client communication, if you do not want to accept the default port (port 8080).

  • (Optional) Enabling basic authentication on the proxy server.

  • (Optional) Specifying a user-agent string that is included in HTTP requests.

  • Enabling the proxy server.

You can then configure your appliance to do the following:

  • Send requests for one or more DTI services through the proxy server, as described in Using an HTTP proxy for DTI service requests.

  • Send requests to Helix through the proxy server, as described in the Helix Integration Guide.

  • Send event notifications through the proxy server, as described in the User Guide or Administration Guide for the appliance.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access.

  • The HTTP proxy server is deployed in your network.
