If you are not using a terminal server, you need to be physically near the appliance to use the serial port. See your Hardware Administration Guide to view the port location.
The serial port uses the following settings:
Baud rate: 115200
Data bits: 8
Stop bits: 1
Parity: None
Flow control: XON/XOFF
