Configuring the Malware Analysis appliance using the CLI

The Malware Analysis CLI provides commands for configuring the Trellix appliance or sensor. The CLI commands you can enter depend on the CLI command mode and the privileges granted by your role.

Procedure

To log in to the Malware Analysis CLI remotely:

To connect using SSH, open a terminal program or an SSH client in the remote system.
- From a terminal program:
  1. Enter the ssh username@ipAddress command, where ipAddress is the IP address of the appliance or sensor.
  2. When prompted, enter your password.
- From an SSH client:
  1. Enter the appliance or sensor IP address and make sure port 22 is specified.
  2. When prompted, enter your username and password.
To connect over a terminal server, open a Telnet program in the remote system.
1. Enter the address and port of the terminal server.
2. Enter your username.
3. When prompted, enter your password.
The hostname > prompt is displayed after you are logged in.
