The Malware Repository Configuration page is used to configure the settings for the malware repository network share and the repository paths for each guest image.
A green status icon indicates that the network share is mounted successfully by the Malware Analysis appliance, and the configured directory paths are correct. A red status icon indicates that the username is not valid, authentication failed, or the repository path does not exist.
Prerequisites
Administrator access to the Malware Analysis appliance.
Install the guest images on the Malware Analysis appliance. For details about installing the guest images, see Guest images.
Determine the guest images for which you want to configure the repositories.
Determine the IP address of the server you want to use for the network share.
Verify that the Malware Analysis appliance can communicate with the network share site from your local machine before configuring the malware repository for unattended mode.
Copy the files to the configured network share source directory locations.
Configure the malware repository paths for each guest image.
In the Web UI, choose Settings > Malware Repository.
Enter either the SMB or CIFS path to the network share in the Share URL box using the following format:
protocol://IP address of the network server/share name
For example, cifs://172.16.220.88/puertorico
Enter the user credentials and security password configured for the network share.
Note
These user credentials are different from the credentials used to access the Malware Analysis appliance.
Select the Enable VNC checkbox to enable VNC to the VM during the repository analysis.
Click Update.
In the Web UI, choose Settings > Malware Repository.
Enter the malware repository directory only for the source (Input/src) paths for each guest image in the Input Path column.
Select a polling intervals from the Poll Period drop-down list.
