Create a virtual disk file for Windows 7

If you are using Windows 7, use the following steps to create the virtual disk file.

From the installation wizard, select the language, time and currency format, keyboard or input method, then click Next.
Click Install Now, then click Next.
Accept the license terms, then click Next.
On the Windows Setup page, select Custom: Install Windows only (advanced), leave the default disk space settings, then click Next.
Use the following credentials to create an account:
- User name — administrator
- Password — cr@cker42
In the Removable Devices window, select Do not show this hint again, then click OK.
The Windows installation can take up to 15 minutes.
In the Set Network Location window, select Public Network, then close the window.
Download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1.
Run the VM Provisioner tool as an administrator or prepare the image for analysis manually.
Note
The VM administrator password cr@cker42 is required for VM profile creation. ATD system updates it to a random string as a part of VM creation. The running sandbox VM will have a random password.
