If you are using Windows Server 2008, use the following steps to create the virtual disk file.
From the installation wizard, select the language, time and currency format, keyboard or input method, then click Next.
Click Install Now, then click Next.
Accept the license terms, then click Next.
On the Windows Setup page, select Custom (advanced), leave the default disk space settings, then click Next.
Set password for administrator account.
In the Removable Devices window, select Do not show this hint again, then click OK.
The Windows installation can take up to 15 minutes.
In the Initial Configuration Tasks window, select Do not show this window at logon, then click Close.
Log on to the computer, then download the following packages:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (32-bit and 64-bit)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (32-bit and 64-bit)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (32-bit and 64-bit)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package (32-bit and 64-bit)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package (32-bit and 64-bit)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 Redistributable Package (32-bit and 64-bit)
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1.
Run the VM Provisioner tool as an administrator or prepare the image for analysis manually.
Note
The VM administrator password
cr@cker42is required for VM profile creation. ATD system updates it to a random string as a part of VM creation. The running sandbox VM will have a random password.
