This topic explains how to create a virtual machine in Microsoft Hyper-V Manager.
Ensure that you have enabled Hyper-V (including Hyper-V Management Tools and Hyper-V Platform) from → → → .
Intelligent Sandbox does not support the following operating systems on Hyper-V:
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Microsoft Windows 8 32-bit
Note
Bulk submissions on Windows 10 with a virtual machine TIS (Hyper-V only) can result in inconsistent analysis.
Open Hyper-V Manager, then from the Actions pane, select → .
Type a name for your virtual machine, then click Next.
You can also choose to store your virtual machine at an alternate location.
In the Specify Generation section, choose Generation 1.
In the Assign Memory section, type the appropriate RAM size.
In the Configure Networking section, choose a virtual switch.
In the Connect Virtual Hard Disk section, select Create a virtual hard disk.
Type a name for the hard disk.
Specify the location where you want to save the VHDX file.
Type an appropriate size for the hard disk, then click Next.
In the Installation Options section, select Install an operating system from a bootable CD/DVD-ROM.
Select Image file (.iso), then browse and select the image file, then click Next.
In the Summary page, review the settings, then click Finish.

The sandbox VMs will be updated to multi processors during VM profile creation process on ATD.
