This procedure guides system administrators through creating and publishing a new automation workflow in the Trellix Hyperautomation console.

  1. Go to the Workflows menu, and click Templates tab. You can use a pre-created workflow from Templates, or you can create one from scratch. You can review the templates and start using one by selecting and clicking Use this Template. Or in Workflows tab, click Create to create your own workflow.

  2. When you create a new workflow, this opens a New Workflow creation form. Here are the configuration steps:

    1. Name: Provide a name for the workflow.

    2. Description : Add a detailed description of the workflow.

    3. (Optional) Labels: Assign labels for categorization.

    4. Sub-workflow: Toggle to set whether this is a sub-workflow.

    5. Trigger: Choose from:

      • Custom (default selected)

      • Schedule

      • Manual

    6. Click Create.

  3. You can choose one of the operators as per your need. Drag and drop it to the Workflow canvas and configure the required details. Refer to Workflow Operators to see configuration options for all available operators.

  4. You can drag and drop actions on the canvas as per your needs.

  5. Once you are done creating the workflow, click Test Run and check if the workflow is executing as expected.

  6. If all is fine, you should publish the workflow.

    Note

Until you publish the workflow, it will not be enabled and won’t execute.

  7. You can review the logs of execution now. Go to Workspace, click on the Execution ID of the workflow. Click on i icon next to the workflow name and then click Logs in the right-side card. It will show all the logs of each executed step. You can select individual steps to see the logs of that step.
