Customizing login banners and messages using the Web UI

Use the Login Banner page to configure the messages users see when they log in to the IVX appliance.

Note
The Intelligent Virtual Execution - Server appliance has a CLI, but it does not have a Web UI. The recommended method for this configuration on a Intelligent Virtual Execution - Server appliance is through the managing Central Management System Web UI.

Prerequisites

Operator or Admin access

To configure login messages:

Click the Settings tab.
Click Login Banner on the sidebar.
In the Remote Banner Text box, clear any existing text, and then enter the message to be displayed in the Web UI and SSH login pages. You can enter up to 2000 characters.
Important
If you change the banner text later with the banner login CLI command, the new text will also appear in the SSH login page, overwriting the text you specify here.
In the Local Banner Text box, clear any existing text, and then enter the message to be displayed in the CLI after the username is entered. You can enter up to 2000 characters.
In the Message of the Day Text box, clear any existing text, and then enter the message to be displayed in the CLI after the user is authenticated. You can enter up to 2000 characters.
Click Update.
The messages will appear the next time the user logs in.
