You can set the File Protect appliance date and time manually, or configure one or more Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers that synchronize the time automatically. You can also perform a one-time synchronization of the system clock to the DTI server clock.

Note

The date and time are stored as Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in the database. The Z character in syslog output indicates that the time displayed is in the UTC time zone; for example, Oct 19 2016 16:10:10 Z. By default, the display time zone is UTC.
