Deleting generated reports using the CLI

Follow these steps to delete generated reports using the CLI.

A generated SmartVision alerts report can be deleted using the Web UI or the CLI.

To delete generated reports from the appliance:

Log in to the appliance CLI and go to configuration mode:
```
hostname > enable
hostname # configure terminal
```
Use the appliance Web UI to determine the name of the report file to delete from the /data/reports directory. See Deleting generated reports using the Web UI.
Delete a generated report by using the following command, where <fileName> is the report file name to delete from the /data/reports directory:
```
report delete <fileName>
```
Note
Wild card matching is not supported.
This example deletes an executive summary report:
```
hostname (config) # report delete smart_vision_IE-NX900-2_20180522_185359294034326000.pdf
```
Use the appliance Web UI to verify that the report is no longer listed.
```
hostname (config) # show report schedule
```
