Enabling and disabling SmartVision using the Web UI

Use the Enable SmartVision checkbox to enable or disable SmartVision.

Prerequisites

Admin access to the SmartVision appliance.
The appliance is a SmartVision Edition appliance or a SmartVision-capable Network Security sensor or integrated appliance. See the following topics:

Important

Before you deploy a SmartVision appliance to a production environment, make sure that the average events per second (EPS) measured on the appliance does not exceed the recommended maximum EPS.

To enable or disable :

Log in to the appliance Web UI and select Settings > SmartVision Configuration.
Click SmartVision Alerts Configuration.
Select or clear the Enable checkbox.
