This section describes how to allow outbound Trellix Helix communication from a Network Security, Email Security — Server, or Endpoint Security (HX) appliance to go through an HTTP proxy.
Important
Before you perform this procedure, ensure that the HTTP proxy is configured and enabled on the appliance. For details, see the System Administration Guide for the appliance.
To enable communication through an HTTP proxy:
Log in to the appliance CLI.
Go to CLI configuration mode:
hostname > enable hostname # configure terminal
Enable the proxy communication:
hostname (config) # helix proxy preference fenet-proxy
To disable communication through an HTTP proxy:
Use the
helix proxy preference disablecommand.
