Enabling or disabling advanced URL defense

When you enable the Advanced URL Defense feature, the Intelligent Virtual Execution - Server appliance sends a request to the DTI Cloud to perform an analysis of the suspicious URLs. When this feature is disabled, the Intelligent Virtual Execution - Server appliance does not send suspicious URLs to the DTI Cloud.

If a log message tells you that the timeout value was reached when Advanced URL Defense is enabled, you must change the timeout and connection timeout settings from 5 seconds to 10 seconds. Use the fenet dti mil service session timeout command and the fenet dti mil service session connection-timeout command. Verify your changes for both types of timeout settings using the show fenet dti configuration all command.

This feature is enabled by default. If your Intelligent Virtual Execution - Server appliance is connected to a Central Management System platform, you can enable the feature globally from the Central Management System Web UI, as described in the Central Management System Administration Guide. The option to parse HTTP links is automatically enabled when Advanced URL Defense is enabled.
