Enabling SmartVision using the CLI

Follow these steps to enable SmartVision.

Important

Before you deploy a SmartVision appliance to a production environment, make sure that the average events per second (EPS) measured on the appliance does not exceed the recommended maximum EPS.

Prerequisites

Admin access to the SmartVision appliance.
The appliance is a SmartVision Edition appliance or a SmartVision-capable Network Security sensor or integrated appliance. See the following topics:

To enable :

Enable SmartVision capabilities.

hostname (config) # smartvision enable
Enabling SmartVision.

Verify your configuration change.

hostname (config) # show smartvision status
SmartVision State
        Detection                      : yes

        .
        .

hostname (config) # show smartvision config

SmartVision Config

        Detection Enabled             : yes
        .
        .
        .

Save your changes.
