Estimating the space needed for the backup file using the CLI

Use the commands in this section to estimate the space needed for the backup file.

To estimate the space needed for the backup file:

Go to CLI enable mode.
```
hostname > enable
```
View the estimate for the type of backup profile.
- To view the estimate for the configuration database, enter:
```
hostname # show backup estimate profile config
```
- To view the estimate for the Trellix appliance database, enter:
```
hostname # show backup estimate profile fedb
```
- To view the estimate for both the configuration database and the Trellix appliance database, enter:
```
hostname # show backup estimate profile config+fedb
```
- To view the estimate for the configuration database, Trellix appliance database, and detected data (malware, alerts, reports, and so on), enter:
```
hostname # show backup estimate profile full
```

Example

The following example displays the estimates that are available for a full backup operation:

hostname # show backup estimate profile full
