Mapping event types using the Web UI

This section explains how to map events to specific notification methods.

Prerequisites

Admin or Operator access to the Malware Analysis appliance.

Enabling event alerts and notification methods

To select event types for notification:

Go to the Notifications Settings page.
On the Settings tab, select Notifications from the side tab.
In the Global column, select the event types for which you want notifications.
In the Event Type row, select the desired notification methods.
Select or deselect specific notification methods for each event type.

Testing event triggers

After you have set up event notifications, test each event type to ensure that an alert is triggered as expected.

To test your event triggers:

In the Send Test Message drop-down list, select an event type to test.
Click Send.
A test message is delivered by the method you specified. A Send Test Message event also appears on the Alerts tab for five minutes.
Repeat for each event type.

Note
Trellix recommends using Per Event notifications instead of Daily Digest notifications. If you do not want Daily Digest notifications, ensure the Daily Digest check box is not selected on the Daily Digest box.
