Before beginning the installation procedure, ensure the following prerequisites are met to guarantee successful deployment and initial access to the console.

  1. Trusted certificate and private key:

A trusted certificate is required to avoid browser security warnings and ensure secure communication with the Trellix Hyperautomation console.

    • Identify the console domain: Determine the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) that will be used to access the console.

    • Obtain required files: You must have a trusted certificate and the corresponding private key file for this domain available before you start the installation.

    • Self-Signed warning: If you choose to use a self-signed certificate during installation, the browser will display a “Your connection to this site is not secure” warning for all users.

  2. License key and administrator credentials:

The licensing and credential requirements are necessary to complete the installation of the console.

    • License key: You must have your valid license key available before starting the installation.

    • Administrator ID: The associated email ID used with your license will be automatically configured as the initial administrative login ID.

  3. You must have superuser privileges.

  4. Obtain the latest installation package from the official source. For more information, see Download Server.
