Registering an appliance now

Use the commands in this topic to register with the Registry and Discovery Service (RDS) and begin the discovery process now, instead of waiting until the next scheduled time.

To register an appliance now:

Log into the appliance.

Go to CLI configuration mode:

hostname > enable
hostname # configure terminal

hostname (config) # fenet rds discovery perform

Verify your change:

hostname (config) # show fenet rds discovery status

Save your change:

hostname (config) # write memory
```

Example

The following example registers the cm-03 appliance now.

cm-03 (config) # fenet rds discovery enable
cm-03 (config) # show fenet rds discovery status
