This procedure describes how to reset the IPMI interface.
Prerequisites
Admin access to the CMS appliance.
If the IPMI interface stops working, follow these steps to reset it. You might need to schedule a maintenance window to do this.
To reset the IPMI interface:
Go to CLI configuration mode:
hostname > enable hostname # configure terminal
Reload the IPMI firmware:
hostname (config) # ipmi firmware reload coldWait five minutes.
Check whether the IPMI interface is up:
hostname (config) # show ipmiIf the IPMI interface is down:
Shut down the appliance:
hostname (config) # reload haltUnplug all power cables.
Wait 90 seconds.
Plug in the power cables.
Push the power button to restart the appliance.
