If the IPMI interface stops working, follow these steps to reset it. You might need to schedule a maintenance window to do this.
To reset the IPMI interface:
Go to CLI configuration mode:
hostname > enable configure terminal Reload the IPMI firmware:
hostname (config) # ipmi firmware reload cold Wait five minutes.
Check whether the IPMI interface is up:
hostname (config) # show ipmi If the IPMI interface is down:
Shut down the appliance:
hostname (config) # reload halt Unplug all power cables.
Wait 90 seconds.
Plug in the power cables.
Push the power button to restart the appliance.
