The procedure enables you to select and initiate a response action on an alert. You can choose to run a workflow immediately on a specific alert or create an automated response rule to run on all future alerts of the same category.
Navigate to the Alerts List page and click the alert to open the Alert Details page.
Click Respond located on the right side of the details page.
The Respond panel displays all the associated workflow for the alert.
Run associated workflows
For the workflow you intend to run, click
and then select Run Workflow.If necessary, configure the workflow parameters before you run.
Click Run.
Add action
Click Add Action. The Select Workflow dialog box is displayed.
Select a workflow execution option:
Run the workflow once for the alert: Executes the workflow immediately on the specific alert and its associated artifacts.
Run the workflow automatically on all future alerts with the same Alert Category: Creates a new, automated response rule. The selected workflow will execute automatically anytime a future alert is generated with the same Alert Category.
Note
Selecting this option creates the workflow-alert category mapping and runs the workflow immediately.
From the list of available workflows displayed, choose the workflow you intend to run and then click Next.
Configure the workflow parameters, click Run/ Save and Run depending on the option you selected in step 2.
A notification confirms that the action has been submitted.
