Complete the steps for backing up and restoring the database in the following order:
Log in to the CLI.
Verify the status of the last backup and restore operations. For details about how to view the last backup and restore operations, see Viewing the last backup and restore results .
Estimate the space needed for the backup file for a particular profile. For details about how to estimate the space needed, see Estimating the space needed for the backup file .
Specify a backup profile and a location for the backup file. Decide whether to include public and private key encryption. Start the backup. For details about how to specify a backup profile, include encryption, and start or cancel the backup, see Backing up the database.
To schedule how often you want the backup job to automatically run, see Scheduling automatic backups.
To restore the database, select the backup file. For details about how to restore the database, see Restoring the database from a backup file .
Monitor the status of the backup or restore operation.
