This section describes the tabs in the Malware Analysis Web UI.
Dashboard—Displays graphs and lists of high-level malware analysis and appliance status information in four widgets. Data from the past day, week, or month can be viewed.
Submissions Per User—Displays the percentage of malware submitted per user.
What's Happening—Lists the number of submissions scanned, Malware Guard uses, compressed malicious submissions, malicious submissions, and total retroactive alerts.
Submission Summary—Lists the history of malware submitted within the selected period of time.
Service Health Statistics Trend—Displays the health status of the active system or analysis engine services within the selected period of time.
Analysis—Provides filters you use to submit malware analysis jobs. Includes expandable levels of detailed information about the hosts that are infected in the network, callback activity, and malware attacks.
Settings—Provides options for configuring settings for the Malware Analysis appliance.
Reports—Allows you to generate and/or schedule reports in various formats. This tab also includes links to download the schema for operating system changes and alerts.
About—Provides access to three sets of pages:
Health Check—Provides comprehensive and current system status information such as software version, patch version, content version, MVX engine version, DTI connection, and configured interfaces.
Log Manager—Allows you to manage system logs.
Update—Allows you to update software for the Malware Analysis appliance.
PDF generation
Some Web UI pages, such as those that display analysis results, have a Print PDF button at the top right side of the page that allows you to save the content of the page to PDF so it can be printed or saved. Only the content that is visible on the page is included in the PDF output. For example, if an item on the page is not expanded, the details about that item are not displayed and will not be included in the PDF output. Depending on your Web browser settings, the generated PDF opens in the Web browser or is downloaded to your computer.
The amount of time needed to generate the PDF depends on the current load on the system. By default, the system will try to generate the PDF using Standard Processing Time, the fastest way possible. If the PDF generation times out, you can try again using other options by clicking the arrow on the button and then selecting Extra Processing Time or Heavy Processing Time, where heavy processing time takes the longest.
