This procedure outlines the steps to configure an API Credential for an integration within the Trellix Cases system. This configuration establishes a secure connection to enable the integration to function.
In the configuration wizard, enter a Name for the new configuration.
Navigate to the HTTP tab.
Configure the Authentication parameters:
URL: Enter https://[subdomain].domain.com/api.
Auth Type: Select OAuth.
Grant Type: Select Client Credentials.
Client ID: Enter the Client ID generated in Users & Roles → API Credentials.
Client Secret: Enter the Client Secret generated in Users & Roles → API Credentials.
Token URL: Enter the Token URL provided when generating the Client ID and Client Secret.
Note
You must first generate your Client ID and Client Secret in Users & Roles → API Credentials. This screen will also display the required Token URL.
Click Next.
In the Edge tab, click Auto Detect to find and list available edges.
Select the desired edge from the list, for example, trellix-default.
Click Save.
