You can use a serial cable or a USB-to-serial cable to connect the Linux machine to the serial port of the appliance. Trellix uses Prolific Technology Inc. adapters.
Important
The USB-to-serial cable is not provided with the appliance.
Connect the cable to the serial port of the appliance and to the Linux machine.
From a command prompt, establish a connection. If you are using a USB-to-serial cable, specify the COM port assigned to it.
When prompted, enter the default username (admin) and password (admin) for the administrator.
When prompted to change the password, configure a new password using the
username admin password <new password>command. You will be logged out. Log in again with the new password.You are asked to accept the End User License Agreement (EULA). Enter y to accept the terms of the agreement.
Enter y when you are prompted to use the Configuration Wizard for initial configuration. Then respond to the prompts as described in Configuration wizard steps.
After you answer the questions, the wizard summarizes your answers. To change an answer, enter the step number. Press Enter to save changes.
