Contained hosts can only communicate with the Endpoint Security (HX) and DMZ server that manage them and other hosts defined in your containment whitelist. In rare instances, your contained host may lose connectivity with the Endpoint Security (HX) or DMZ server, which prevents you from removing the affected host from containment.
The containment unlock code allows you to remove a host from containment when an Endpoint Security (HX) xAgent running on the affected host is unable to communicate with the Endpoint Security (HX).
Important
The containment unlock code is supported for Windows agents version 28 or later, macOS agents 30 or later, and Linux agents 34 or later only. It is not supported for endpoints running Windows XP.
By default, the containment unlock code feature is enabled for all of your Windows endpoints running Endpoint Security (HX) version 28 or later, macOS agents 30 or later, and Linux agents 34 or later. You can enable and disable the containment unlock code feature through the Endpoint Security (HX) Web UI or API.
