Displays the current SNMP configuration.

Note

To enable SNMP communities or multiple communities or to enable the sending of SNMP notifications (traps and informs) from this system, see snmp-server . To specify which events will be sent as SNMP notifications, see snmp-server notify event .

Syntax

show snmp [engineID | events | host | user]

Parameters

engineID

(Optional) Displays the engine ID of the local system

events

(Optional) Displays a list of events for which SNMP traps will be sent.

host

(Optional) Displays a list of notification sinks.

user

(Optional) Displays the SNMP v3 user security settings.

Examples

The following example shows the basic SNMP configuration:

The following example shows the SNMP engine ID of the local system:

The following example shows the default list of events for which a Central Management System appliance sends SNMP traps:

hostname # show snmp eventsEvents for which traps will be sent:
  aggregation-failure: Alert aggregation failed for one or more sensors
  cmc-status-failure: The CMC has detected an error in a managed appliance
  disk-space-low: Filesystem free space has fallen too low
  disk-space-ok: Filesystem free space is back in the normal range
  dupe-appliance-detected: A duplicate virtual appliance detected
  excessive-temperature: Excessive temperature has reached.
  fan-failure: A fan has failed.
  fan-recover: A fan has recovered.
  gi-low-disk-download-failed: GI download failed
  interface-down: An interface's link state has changed to down
  interface-up: An interface's link state has changed to up
  license-state-changed: A license state has changed.
  manual-failover: A manual fail-over on CMS-HA has occurred.
  mvx-cluster-state-changed: MVX health check failed
  mvx-cluster-util-threshold-exceeded: MVX cluster utilization has exceeded threshold.
  normal-temperature: Temperature is normal.
  nxha-health-failure: NX-HA health check failed.
  physical-disk-failure: A physical disk has failed.
  physical-disk-recover: A physical disk has recovered.
  power-supply-failure: A power supply has failed.
  power-supply-recover: A power supply has recovered.
  process-crash: A process in the system has crashed
  raid-status-failure: A RAID error has occurred.
  raid-status-recover: A RAID has recovered.
  security-update-failure: Security update has failed.
  snmp-authtrap: An SNMP v3 request has failed authentication
  syslog-rotation: System log files rotation
  token-server-reachable: Token Server is reachable
  token-server-unreachable: Token Server is unreachable
  token-state-change: Virtual appliance activation state is changed
  unexpected-failover: An unexpected fail-over on CMS-HA has occurred.
  user-login: A user has logged into the system
  user-logout: A user has logged out of the system.
