    Note

If you cannot find the AMI for TIE Server listed on the marketplace, contact Trellix support.

  5. Enter the following information on the Launch new instance page.

    • Select the delivery method as Amazon Machine Image

    • Select software version 4.6.0

    • Select the region under which you want to deploy the TIE Server

  6. Click Continue to launch through EC2.

  7. Enter the Name to TIE Server.

  8. Select the instance type as “t3.xlarge” or higher.

    Note

You need a minimum of four processors and 16 gigabytes of RAM when choosing an instance type.

  9. Select an existing key pair or create a new one. (Best practice is to maintain separate key pairs for different TIE Servers).

    Note

Save the key pair in a secure location if you create a new one because it can't be regenerated if lost. Losing this key pair might result in losing access to the instance.

  10. In the Network Settings section, select the VPC, Subnet where the TIE Server is to be connected, and the Security Group that was created earlier.

    Warning

Exposing the TIE Server to the internet by assigning a public IP address poses a significant security risk to your organization. Malicious actors could exploit this vulnerability to launch attacks on your TIE Server, potentially leading to a complete compromise of your network and sensitive data. To safeguard your environment, ensure that the TIE Server does not have a public IP address.

  11. In the Configure storage section, enter the storage to be at least 120 GB.

  12. In the Advance details section, select the appropriate IAM instance profile.

  13. Click Launch instance.

In the Instance section, find the newly created TIE server. Wait for the Status checks to complete, which might take a few minutes. Once the status checks are done, you can configure the TIE Server.
