Integration with third-party cloud gateways for content inspection over API requires authorization using API tokens. The scanning service API tokens are pushed to DLP Network Prevent for authorizing API requests. It looks for the authorization header and verifies the API token.
Generating and managing the scanning service API tokens
You can configure the DLP Appliance Management settings to generate the API authorization tokens.
In ePO - SaaS, go to Menu → Policy Catalog.
Select DLP Appliance Management, choose the General category, and open the policy that you want to edit.
Browse to NDLP Scanning Service and click Enable NDLP Scanning API to edit this section.
Enter the port number. The default port number is 941.
The valid range of the port number is 1 to 65535.
Click the + button to generate a new token.
A token is generated with the prefix NDLPScan_ followed by 64 randomly generated alphanumeric characters with a total length of 73 characters. The extension creates a secure SHA512 hash of the token and stores the token information in the policy.
The generated token and its details are displayed only once. Make sure to copy the token details for future reference as it will not be shown again.
Set an expiry date for the token. By default, the expiry date is set to one year from the date of creation.
Use the date field next to the token text box to set an expiry date for the token.
You can also set the token expiry to Never.
Click Save.
