You can add a repository or modify the existing repository details for a scan from the Scan Management page when you create or edit a scan.

You can also create or edit repository definitions in DLP Policy Manager → Definitions → Repositories. For more information, see Create repository definitions.
On ePO - SaaS, select Menu → Data Protection → DLP Discover.
On the Scan Management page, select a scan or click New Scan.
The details of the scan appear on the right pane.
In the Repository section, click Add from Catalog.
The available repositories are displayed in the Repositories pane.
To edit a repository, select a repository to open the details and modify as needed.
To create a new repository, from the three-dots menu, click New.
The repository details pane opens on the right.
Enter a name for the repository.
Select the type as SMB/CIFS or NFS.
To add the credentials for the repository, select Add from catalog, then click + to select the needed credentials.
You can also create and add new credentials from the credential details pane.
Configure at least one Include entry.
Select IP Range or UNC. You can click + to add more entries.
Note
The UNC path must be the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) (
\\myserver1.mydomain.com) or the local computer name (\\myserver1). You can add both versions to a single definition. Multiple entries are parsed with the OR logic.(Optional) Enter a regular expression for matching folders to scan.
(Optional) Configure the exclude parameters to exclude folders from being scanned. You can click + to add more entries.
None — Select this option to scan all files. This is the default option.
Starts with — Select this option and provide the folder path (\\server\path) that must be excluded from the scan.
Regular expression — Select this option and provide the regular expression for the files that must be excluded from the scan.
Enter additional options.
Always inspect file content — Select this option to provide file access permissions and to always scan all file content.
Inspect content if user has write attributes — Select this option to scan only files for which the user has full permissions. The scan skips files for which the user doesn't have full permissions to retain the last user access.
Include Administrative shares (when share is not specified or an IP range — Select this option to scan administrative shares.
Include Reparse Points such as Symbolic Links, Directory Junctions, etc) — Select this option to scan NTFS reparse points, such as symbolic links and directory junctions.
Click Save and Apply policy.
The updated repositories are saved to the scan and used in the next scan run.
