When BCC/OOB mode is configured, copies of emails directed to Gmail mailboxes are also sent to Email Security - Cloud for analysis. This lets Email Security - Cloud detect malicious email without impacting the current mail stream. BCC/OOB mode only detects malicious email and does not prevent the delivery of malicious mail to the recipient mailbox. If a malicious email is detected, email administrators are notified. What you need
Administrative access to your Gmail account.
Administrative access to your Email Security - Cloud instance.
The BCC address provided in the Email Security - Cloud welcome email.
To configure BCC/OOB mode:
Create the BCC transport rule
Log in to the Google Admin Console: admin.google.com.
Follow steps 1-4 under "Add a routing setting" in the Google documentation.
For step 5, enter the following configuration settings:
Enter a description for the rule.
Under Email messages to affect, select Inbound.
Under For the above types of messages, do the following, ensure that Modify message is selected from the drop-down.
Under Also deliver to, select Add more recipients. The Recipients window appears.
In the Recipients window, click Add. Ensure that Basic is selected from the drop-down.
Depending on the geographic region of your Email Security - Cloud account, enter the BCC address from the Email Security - Cloud welcome email in the Recipient Address box:
