The Trellix DLP Network appliance and Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array must be operated in compliance with strict safety guidelines.

The hardware units must be installed only in restricted access locations, such as dedicated equipment rooms or electrical closets.

The hardware appliance includes a Remote Management Module (RMM) that provides Lights Out Management functionality, such as remote KVM access and appliance BIOS access.

Safety guidelines — The Trellix DLP Network appliance and Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array must be operated in compliance with strict safety guidelines. The hardware units must be installed only in restricted access locations, such as dedicated equipment rooms or electrical closets.

Caution

Disconnect all power supply cords before servicing. There is a risk of explosion if a backup unit (super capacitor) is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose the used backup units according to industry standards.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) compliance

Trellix DLP Network hardware appliance and Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array hardware have been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 16 of the Federal Communications Commission rules. Modifying Trellix DLP Network appliance and Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array equipment without expressing approval from the party responsible for compliance can void authority to operate the equipment.

Operation of the Trellix DLP Network appliances is subject to these conditions:

  • The devices might cause harmful interference.

  • The devices must accept any interference received, including interference that might cause unwanted operation.

These limits provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment.

Trellix DLP equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual (for Intel Server system) or instruction manual (for Super Micro system), it might cause harmful interference to radio communications. If operation of this equipment in a residential area causes harmful interference, it must be corrected at owner's expense.

If Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array is not installed and used in accordance with the safety instructions, it might cause harmful interference to radio communications. If operation of this equipment in a residential area causes harmful interference, it must be corrected at owner's expense.
