Install Database Security sensor on Windows platform

Database Security sensor is installed on a Windows platform using a setup wizard.

  1. Download the sensor installation package for Windows from the Trellix Downloads site.

  2. Extract the package and locate the installation file.

    The installation file name specifies the version and build of the software, in the format: Trellix-DBS-Sensor-Installer-<architecture>-<version>-<build>.exe

  3. Run the installation file.

    The Trellix Database Security Sensor Setup Wizard is displayed.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Read the license agreement, then click I agree to indicate your acceptance of its terms.

  6. Select the location where you want to install the sensor (or use the default location), then click Next.

  7. Enter the server IP address and server connector port details in the designated fields, then click Next.

  8. (Optional) To capture the network live data, check whether Install WinPcap is selected. Follow the on-screen instruction to install the WinPcap.

  9. Click Install.

    When the installation is complete, the Completing the Trellix DBS Sensor Setup Wizard window is displayed

  10. Click Finish.
